The story

When it gets dark, Night Bear sets off. In his paw he holds the lantern stick, and his lantern glows warmly in the night. Two bats flutter around him, curious to see where he's going.

Which hat will he wear? Night Bear joins in with every celebration. The sheet comes with four hats: a witch's hat for Halloween, a Santa hat for Christmas, Easter bunny ears for Easter and a party hat for birthdays. And the lantern? That simply comes along too, even to the Christmas party. Or make your own Christmas bauble, Easter egg, slice of birthday cake or candle… Night Bear loves every celebration.

Tip: mount Night Bear entirely on wood and fix a little hook to his paw. That turns him into a coat hook for a jacket, backpack or pyjama bag.

How to apply it

Sticker sheet 48 × 96 cm, self-adhesive matte vinyl
Apply Night Bear from the bottom up on a smooth, clean wall
Tip (also printed on the sticker sheet): cut out the hats with their backing paper and attach them with a small piece of (double-sided) tape, so you can swap them again and again. If you stick a hat directly onto Night Bear, it can be quite difficult to peel off after a few days
Prefer a sturdy hat? Stick it onto card or a thin piece of wood and cut or saw it out
Textured wall? The decal sticks less well there. Apply it to a panel instead

Design and sustainability

Every Hartendief world begins as a watercolour by Hylkia. From that original design we make the product here in the Netherlands. Short supply lines, no shipping halfway around the world, and wall decor that grows with your child from nursery to big-kid room.

Frequently asked questions

Can I swap the hats?

Yes, as long as you don't stick them directly onto Night Bear. Keep the backing paper on the hat and attach it with a little tape, or stick the hat onto card or wood. That way you can swap it as often as you like.

Which hats are included?

Four: a witch's hat for Halloween, a Santa hat for Christmas, Easter bunny ears for Easter and a party hat for birthdays.

Will it stick to any wall?

It sticks best to a smooth wall. On a textured wall it may come loose over time, so apply it to a panel instead.

When will it ship?

Order before 1 pm (Dutch time) and it is on its way to you the same day.

Can I have it gift wrapped?

Of course. Tick 'gift wrap' above the buy button. For € 7.50 we wrap it with care in gift paper, with a card carrying your own message.

Dreamt up by Hylkia de Jong

Since 2015, Hylkia has been painting hidden worlds for the nursery. Every design begins as a little story and a watercolour at her drawing table, and then takes shape in the Netherlands.

Her wish: that children and their parents fall in love with their own world of imagination all over again.
