Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
Consumers are entitled to a right of withdrawal in accordance with the following provisions, whereby a consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business, or profession:
Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the last good.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax, or e-mail). To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, excluding delivery costs (and except for the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive the returned goods. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence that you have sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier.
You must return the goods without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.
Outbound shipping costs: If you exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, we will not reimburse you for the costs of delivering the goods from us to you.
Return shipping costs and arrangements: The costs of returning the goods are borne in full by the consumer. For orders placed from the Netherlands, Belgium, or Germany, Hartendief contributes 4.50 euros towards these costs, meaning the consumer's share is reduced to 6.50 euros. For orders placed from all other countries, the full shipping price is borne by the consumer.
We do not provide a prepaid return label. You are responsible for arranging and booking the return shipment yourself, using a shipping method of your choice.
You will only be liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for the production of which an individual choice or decision by the consumer is decisive, or which are clearly personalised to the consumer's specific needs.
